Winnie the Pooh contains some of the most universally beloved characters in history.
It was definitely one of my favorites when I was a kid, and I couldn’t even pick a favorite character. I loved Tigger, Eeyore, and Pooh Bear all so much (and still do)!

The story’s association with young children has made it an ever-popular baby shower theme as well – particularly the classic A.A. Milne style of Winnie-the-Pooh.
To help you in planning your Pooh-themed baby shower, I’ve created a collection of Winnie the Pooh baby shower games with FREE printables available!
Winnie the Pooh Baby Shower Games
Baby showers first became a big deal in the 1950s, and since then, dozens of fun games have been invented to entertain guests in attendance.
Baby Bingo
Where I’m from, bingo is played at almost every shower.
Isn’t this Winnie the Pooh baby shower bingo adorable? It’s part of the free download (keep scrolling down)!
Oh, by the way: I hand-traced the vintage illustrations from the original Winnie-the-Pooh book and digitally watercolored them. I absolutely love how they turned out for these printables.
Word Scramble
A simple but fun game I always include is a word scramble. Guests have to unscramble a bunch of words related to babies in a set time frame.
My version is tricky because the first few words are pretty easy – giving your guests a lot of confidence as they breeze through them.
But then they get downright infuriating. (Don’t worry, I included an answer key!)
Guess Who? (Mommy or Daddy)
This is the baby shower game about mom and dad, where you have to guess which of them agrees with each statement about having a baby.
Only someone who knows both expecting parents well can win!
Best Baby Shower Games
How Many Honeycombs?
I like this game because there’s no time crunch for your guests to fill out their answer cards. Everyone gets to participate at their leisure.
Just fill a jar with Honeycombs cereal (or anything else; I just think they go well with the Pooh theme). Seal it and set it on a table near the entrance of the shower venue.
Have everyone guess how many they think are inside!
Time Capsule Messages for Baby
While it’s not really a game, one of my favorite activities to have guests complete at a baby shower is a time capsule message sheet.
It just contains a few prompts that give everyone an opportunity to write out their well wishes for the baby.
They are collected and kept (usually by the expecting mother), then given to the new family member at some point later.
This could be after they can read, when they become a teenager, or when they graduate high school. It’s a wonderful gift at any time!
Baby Predictions
This one isn’t exactly a game either, since no one can win during the shower.
But you can certainly add some suspense leading up to the birth by offering up a prize after the baby comes!
Everyone at the baby shower must guess the due date and weight, as well as various aspects of the baby’s appearance.
They also get to share what they hope the baby inherits from each parent, making this another sweet keepsake for them to have when they’re older.
Funny Baby Shower Games
Guess the “Pooh”
In non-Pooh Bear baby showers, it’s just called “Guess That Poop” or “The Candy Bar Game.”
Several diapers are folded up for guests to inspect. Inside, they find various melted chocolate candy bars… which, of course, look like poop.
Watching everyone get their noses super close to what resembles poop in a baby diaper is hilarious. This is one of my all-time favorite baby shower games!
Don’t Say Baby!
Do you know the baby shower game where you can’t say certain words? We call it “Don’t Say Baby!” Some people call it the Clothespin Game, and the word might be “boy” or “girl” instead.
Everyone starts out with a clothespin on their shirt, but if they say the no-no word, the person who hears it can steal it!
Baby Food Taste Test
Nothing is funnier than seeing the faces adults make when tasting unidentified baby food purees!
For this game, you need to make sure you put false labels around the baby food jars so they have to rely on their senses of smell and taste to guess. (My game comes with six printable labels.)

And keep in mind that a lot of these games will also work for a gender reveal. You can use a few at your reveal and use totally different ones at the shower.
There are 38 different games to choose from, so there would be zero trouble avoiding a repeat!
How many games should be played at a baby shower?
It would be insane to try and play all 38 of my games at your baby shower.
The only reason I’ve included that many is so you can pick and choose your favorites! I like to provide variety since baby showers often have the same few games repeated over and over.
That’s also why the free download includes just five games. Because I personally think that’s the perfect number of games to actually play at a baby shower.
But some games don’t take as long as others. And some are games of skill that don’t require all of the guests to sit down and do them at once (like Don’t Say Baby or Pacifier Hunt).
Plus, some have objectively right or wrong answers, while others are based on how the expecting mother (and father) answer
So you could definitely add a few more in if you like.

Prize Ideas for Baby Shower Games
I do not really think prizes are must-haves at a baby shower, especially if you’re on a budget. Winning a game is enough satisfaction for me!
However, having some goodies on hand for the winners can help get guests in the mood to participate, focus, and really try their best.
Check out these gifts I recommend handing out to winners of Winnie the Pooh baby shower games!
