The Little Mermaid was one of my favorite Disney movies when I was a little girl. I was not disappointed by the live-action remake, either. How could I be with a great new song like “Scuttlebutt”? Ariel is such a young, charming princess, it’s not surprising that many women want to use a little mermaid pregnancy announcement. Here are some clever ideas for pulling it off!

The last time she had fins in her grotto in Magic Kingdom! You can even meet the new live-action version of Ariel at Walt Disney Presents in Hollywood Studios.

One family – The Normans on YouTube – went the extra mile to announce their third pregnancy Little Mermaid style. They wrote and recorded new lyrics to accompany Alan Menken’s beautiful music from the original The Little Mermaid soundtrack. The Normans also put together an entire music video for their announcement! Check it out below.
If you have video editing (and singing!) skills, you could write your own version of the song. How about putting it to the tune of “Under the Sea,” but calling it “Baby Makes Three”?
