7 Free Last Day of Kindergarten Signs for Kindergarten Graduation

The 2024-2025 school year is finally coming to a close. My daughter finished kindergarten a few years ago, and I wanted to design a really cute Last Day of Kindergarten sign for her. I decided to make a bunch more to give away! These are all completely free, printable last day of kindergarten signs.

Several of them can be printed as-is and used right away. I’ve made black-and-white ones as well as beautiful colorful ones, depending on the printer you have available. If you’d like a more personalized last day of kindergarten sign, I’ve also made some free Canva templates you can edit to include your child’s information.

Simple My Last Day of Kindergarten Sign

This is a classic last day of school sign that will work for any situation. It’s black and white which is perfect if you don’t have access to color printing. (And it’s more white than black so it won’t use much of the ink you do have.) To make it fun, have your soon-to-be-first grader color it so they can show off their improved crayon skills!

Last Day of School Kindergarten Sign

This is one of my favorite signs because I am a sucker for a border frame. The scissors and glue really capture the overall aesthetic of the first official year of school, too.

I Did It! Kindergarten Sign

Pump your kid up for first grade by celebrating the big accomplishment that finishing kindergarten is! I made this sign super-colorful. It’s like a visual representation of my daughter’s personality.

Last Day of Kindergarten Sign with Flags

This printable sign has cute pennant flags like a banner at the top. I think it feels like looking at a kindergarten teacher’s decorated chalkboard!

Fill-in-the-Blank Sign

If you want the space to write (or type) in your child’s name, this one is great! You can print it first and then write in their name with a marker, or you can use a free program like Smallpdf to add in the text before printing.

Editable Sign to Use with Canva

This printable sign already has a name, teacher, and school typed in, and you can edit them for your child with the Canva app (it’s 100% free to make an account if you don’t have one). That way you don’t have to handwrite or try and create text boxes yourself in PDF editors. You’ll be able to edit the name, year, and teacher/school information in this template.

Customizable Colored Chalkboard-Style Sign

This is my fanciest (but still free!) last day of kindergarten sign. It’s got a dark background like a chalkboard. Please note that both the sign and the software needed to edit it (Canva) are free! You’ll also either need to make sure your printer ink is filled up or order a print at your favorite place, like Mpix. You’ll be able to edit the name, school, and date on this sign.
