Decorating nurseries is the BEST. You’re really just designing your own dream childhood bedroom because your baby is too new to have any kind of say in the matter. Heck, in most cases, the baby hasn’t even been born yet!
But finding the perfect wall art can be tricky. Babies grow fast, and they can grow out of a theme faster than you can afford to swap out the scenery. Who wants to spend a ton of money on retail-store wall art that’ll have to be replaced in a year or two?
I’ve got a simple solution for you: a free nursery printables.
Wall art is one of the easiest, cheapest ways to add a pop of color and whimsy to your baby’s nursery. Printables based on quotes will outlast other themes like cartoon characters or baby toys. The same sentimental printable can work through the toddler years into early childhood! Plus, it’s easy to update with new prints inside of the old frame (instead of buying new canvases or wood pieces).
I created my own wall art for my son’s nursery when we bought our new home after he was born, after struggling to find anything that suited my needs. Now, I’d like to share some free nursery printables for you! Save yourself some time and headache in decorating your baby’s room by choosing one (or all!) of the 4 designs I’ve bundled in a free PDF for you.

How to Use the Files
Once you request the download below, you’ll get an email linking to a single PDF file that has all four free printable images on individual US letter-sized pages. You can print all of them, or choose just the page you want to print for your nursery.
There’s more than one way to print these sheets! You can print them on your personal inkjet or laser printer at home, or you can have a service print and ship them to you on high-quality paper.
Where to Have Them Printed
If you don’t have a home printer, it is possible to have these printed professionally at a very reasonable price. While most printing services do not offer the 8.5″ x 11″ print size (8×10 or 8×12 is usually the closest), my personal favorite printing site DOES offer it!

I’ve been ordering all of my photo products from Mpix for over a decade now. They offer a huge selection of print sizes and mine have always come out looking vibrant, crisp, and stunning. I even order my kids’ birthday party invitations there! They don’t accept PDF uploads, so I’ve included the JPG images of each nursery printable that you can upload to your Mpix account for easy ordering!
How to Print at Home
First thing first: If you don’t have a printer at home, you’ll have to get one. Of course, buying a printer will be more expensive than ordering the print through Mpix. But once you have the printer, you’ll be able to print all of your own wall art any time you want, and it will end up saving you money in the long run. Plus, you won’t have to wait for them to be shipped to you!
You do NOT have to have a fancy printer to make these nursery printables look good. Most inkjet printers these days are designed to be able to print photos, so a simple wall art print is no problem. I use an HP Deskjet printer like this one and am happy with the quality. The ink is also easy to order on Amazon!

There are a few different options for the type of paper you use:
While copy paper will work (and look fine), cardstock is a bit sturdier and will give it a really nice matte finish. But for wall art, my personal recommendation is glossy photo paper – it really makes the colors POP!
Where to Find Frames for Your Prints
Frames are everywhere, but sometimes 8.5″ x 11″ frames are harder to find than other sizes. They’re still out there, though – here are a couple I found on Amazon!

I’ve also had a lot of luck shopping at Michael’s for frames – just watch the weekly ad in the Michael’s app for when they go on sale.
Hanging your Nursery Printables
If you’ve never hung wall art before, there are only a few things you’ll need to get the job done.
1. Nails
Go ahead and get a big pack of nails perfect for hanging stuff on the walls. You’ll probably never have to buy another one – I still have the same one I bought in 2010!
2. Hammer
I recommend you get a light 8-ounce hammer, but not because you can’t handle the full-sized “regular” hammer. Hanging pictures is not a heavy-duty job, so there’s no reason for you to swing a around a 2-pound tool.
3. Laser Level
Laser levels are more expensive than standard levels, but that’s because they’re 10 times more amazing. Not only can they help you level your picture frame on the wall, but they will also make sure that a series of frames in a row are all even with each other. After having several hanging sessions filled with measuring from ceiling-to-frame and floor-to-frame to make sure my frames were lined up correctly, I can assure you these are worth the extra cost.
