  5. Hi Michelle
I`m a terrible cook and feel like I have two left hands when I try to cook but will definitely try this.
    Thanks so much for sharing.

  6. My grandma has been making a recipe like yours very similar for Thanksgiving every year for the past 10 years. It is so good!! I would highly recommend to anyone who has not tried this before, try it! Thank you so much for sharing. 🙂

  7. This reminds me of my grandmother’s recipe that I had totally forgotten about. So glad to run across this post today! Hello Thanksgiving Side 2020!

  8. I love sweet potatoes and have had them many times in casseroles that others had made. I usually only bake them myself and have them with butter. But I decided to try this recipe last night. It was wonderful! I didn’t have any marshmallows but I did have some marshmallow fluff, so I used that, and it did just fine. I think it would be much easier with marshmallows, the fluff is so sticky and difficult to work with. If you like sweet potatoes, you must try this recipe.

  9. I tried this recipe but my streusel didn’t turn out like yours lol I don’t know what I did wrong but I’m going to try it again !!

  10. Have you ever tried with dark brown sugar? Thank you! Excited to make for Thanksgiving!

    1. I have not tried it with dark brown sugar, but the two are usually interchangeable. Since this is already a pretty sweet casserole, it will likely just make it taste even more like dessert than a side dish! Yum. 😛

  11. Definitely going to try this tomorrow! How would the cooking time change if I need to bake it at 400?

    1. I’m glad you like the recipe! Bumping up the temperature to 400 is such a small difference, you likely won’t need to change any timers. The streusel won’t burn from a little extra heat, and you should be keeping an eye on the marshmallows after adding them to determine when to take it back out anyway.

If anything, I’d knock just one minute off the initial 20-minute bake time.

      Have a great Thanksgiving!
