If you’re having trouble coming up with Father’s Day questions to ask the dad in your life OR his kids, look no further! I’ve put together a Father’s Day questionnaire for kids, as well as questions to ask Dad himself! Asking these questions can help create a really fun, memorable day that’s better than any tangible gift.
There’s a beautiful Father’s Day questionnaire free printable further down that you and your children can fill out together ahead of time and present to him on the big day. I filled one out with my kids, and even recorded a video of them answering some Father’s Day questions so he can relive the moment forever!
Looking for a Father’s Day Grandpa questionnaire too? I’ve got you covered. The download below also includes an All About Grandpa printable!
Father’s Day Questionnaire for Kids
These questions for Father’s Day are all about Dad – from your child’s point of view. For older kids, they’re really testing how well they already know their dad, and the questions can be hard! It might make them realize they need to spend more time getting to know their dad (and the interview questions below will help).
For preschool kids, they’re mostly a great way to crack everyone up. Because as we all know, kids say the darndest things. These aren’t even intentionally funny questions – it’s just that little kids rarely get the answers right! They’re all really simple questions to ask kids about Daddy that most toddlers and kids three and up will be able to provide reasonable answers for.
Here’s a tip, though: take care not to prompt your kids with an answer or coach them into saying what you want them to. Trust me, whatever they come up with on their own is going to be funny. If you’d like to write down your kids’ answers to these questions on a nice printable, check out the free download below!

Free All About Dad Printable
I’ve used some of the queries above to make an All About Dad free Father’s Day printable. There are two versions of the questionnaire – one about Dad, and one all about Grandpa. I’ve also included a bonus sheet to go with each one so your child to draw a picture of themselves with their daddy or pappaw (that’s what we call grandfathers here in Kentucky).
To get your free printables, just submit the form below! Whether it’s you or your child filling out the sheet, make sure you don’t rush them through it. They should have fun doing it, so give them plenty of time to move at their own pace.
