While my daughter’s party was certainly all about her, I love sending guests home with memorable favors. Since we have both family and friends over, that meant I needed Encanto party favors for adults and children.

In the movie Encanto, we know from the start that Isabela can grow all kinds of flowers. But it’s not until later on that she discovers she can also grow cacti! This leads her to wonder what else she’s capable of that she never knew before. It’s such a great message, and many children are fascinated by cactuses. You can get faux cactuses in the floral arrangement departments of most stores. Or you can even order a set of real ones to be delivered!
Plushies (Antonio)

This is a really creative Bruno-inspired party favor that everyone will definitely love! Well, I don’t love messy toys. But kinetic sand isn’t that bad. Abuela Alma doesn’t have a gift per se, but she is the keeper of the magical candle, making sure the flame doesn’t go out. You might think candles are more of a party favor for adults, but not in this case! I bought this pack of LED candles and used them around the house as decorations during our Encanto party. But you can also give them out to kids attending the party afterward to take home. They work fine without a remote, they just turn on and off with a switch. And they make an excellent bedside nightlight for little ones!
The “Not Special” Special
Instead of filling premade Encanto favor bags with cheap plastic toys, I decided to sort of recreate a certain gift basket from the movie. They were one of my best favor ideas ever! Near the beginning of the movie, Mirabel is handed a basket full of goodies. The man delivering it pities her for not having received a gift at her own ceremony, calling the overflowing container “the not special special” in her honor.
I paused the movie to see what all was inside to get ideas for my own Encanto goodie baskets! But I already had candy and individualized favors for the kids (details are below). So I gave these baskets to the grown-ups at the party. They were a big hit! I suspect most people liked them just for the basket itself. I got them 40% off at Hobby Lobby. Below is everything I put inside them!

While there aren’t any giant rainbow lollipops in Mirabel’s basket, there are some brightly colored candies. Given all the other bright colors I used for the Encanto party, I thought these suckers fit the theme very well. These jumbo lollipops are the cheapest if you can find them at your local Dollar Tree, but you can also get a pack of them on Amazon.
I designed the stickers on them myself and printed them on these large inkjet sticker labels. You can get an editable version of the design below to use on your own suckers! It’s a Canva template, making it super easy to customize.

Mirabel’s basket definitely has pinwheels in it. With Lily’s party being in the summer, they made great party favors! I got a 12-pack of nice, thick, rainbow-colored pinwheels. Since I made six baskets, I put two pinwheels in each of them.

You can clearly see several maracas hanging from Mirabel’s gift basket, and I thought they would make a fun souvenir-style party favor both kids and adults could enjoy! I was able to find an affordable pack of 16 brightly colored maracas that I split among the baskets.

In the very front of the basket are what look to me like dulce de leche twisted lollipops on sticks. I’m not certain about that, nor could I find any Colombian sweets that resembled them in my research. But to mimic the look in my gift baskets, I found gold rock candy sticks at Walmart! The 12-pack divided well between my six baskets.
Party Hats
There’s a big old stack of party hats on the top of Mirabel’s basket! For a birthday party, this is a logical choice for the gift basket. Walmart has a really cheap pack of colorful party hats. I set them up in the center of the baskets wide-end down to help the baskets look more full.

When looking for “filler” for my not special baskets, I searched for Colombian candies. I found these caramel coffee candies on Amazon, and they are delicious. It’s a great treat for grown-ups! Naturally, after I paid the Amazon price, I came across a slightly smaller bag of them at my local Dollar Tree! So if you’re able, look for them there first.
Yo-Yos
Although I didn’t actually see any yo-yos in Mirabel’s basket, I saw them at Walmart and thought the bright colors matched the theme perfectly. Plus, yo-yos are often wasted on little kids who can’t quite get the hang of them. Adults are old pros!
DIY Encanto Party Favors
Want to give guests DIY party favors rather than the usual store-bought noisemakers and temporary tattoos? These ideas will inspire you to come up with great parting gifts for your guests!
Gift Doors… with Actual Gifts
Since our kids are still young, the only other children at our birthday parties are close family and friends that we know well. So I often make personalized party favors for them, which make them feel special, too! For their Encanto favors, I decided to assign each kid a magical gift from the movie based on their personality. You don’t have to stick to the movie gifts, though. Feel free to come up with your own unique “gifts” for each child!
Based on their assigned gift, I bought something small to go along with it. I collected small shipping boxes that fit each gift, cut “doors” in the boxes, and wrapped them in some pretty floral paper. Since I had the time and means to do so, I took it a step further and drew each child their own “door”!
I used the same method to draw them that I discussed in my Encanto party decoration ideas for the giant door banner of my daughter. Then I printed them on cardstock and taped them to the pre-cut “doors” of the gift boxes. To hold the doors shut until it was time to hand out the favors, I tied some jute around them in an easy-to-untie bow.
Below are the “gifts” I assigned each child and the items I bought for their boxes.

- Talking to Animals (Antonio): plush Encanto animal
- Super Hearing (Dolores): headphones
- Strength (Luisa): Fisher-Price dumbbell toy (recipient was 2!)
- Visions of the Future (Bruno): magic 8-ball
- Shapeshifter (Camilo): Minecraft creeper hoodie (for the oldest child in attendance)
Most of these gifts were on clearance when I bought them. I didn’t spend more than $10 on any child’s parting gift.
