I have become very self-aware in my adult years, and that means becoming aware of my own self-centeredness.
I’ve even been a bit stonehearted throughout my life, with a laser-like focus on my own well-being.
But my children have truly changed my heart.
I now have the joy of knowing what it’s like to think of someone else before myself.
I know the agony of feeling someone else’s pain as if it were my own.
Still, I’m not much of a mushy person.
I continue to keep a lot of my softer emotions on the inside (but I have zero problems showing my children affection!).
When I find myself getting in my feelings a little bit, or just needing some catharsis through a good cry or a swollen heart, I like to read quotes about loving children.
They just so accurately describe how I feel on the inside, you know?
Like my jumble of emotions has been succinctly put to paper.
Now I present to you a collection of some of the best quotes about loving your children I’ve found.
I love my children more than anything, and these sayings are proof that pretty much every mother feels this way.
It’s just inevitable.

What to Do with Quotes About Loving Children
If I had to guess, I’d say you’re looking at these quotes hoping to find something to share on social media so everyone knows how squishy wishy your kids make you feel.
(Not judging – I’d be a hypocrite!)
But a great quote, the kind that you feel spark your soul a little bit as soon as you read it, shouldn’t be dropped and then forgotten on your Facebook feed. Repurpose that thing!
That spark you feel is a great mood booster and you can recreate it every time you read the quote.
Here are other ways I recommend using these quotes:
- First and foremost: rewrite it!
Read it, repeat it in your mind, then write it out again using your own voice and words. A quote doesn’t have to be someone else’s exact words to make YOU feel good.
- Use them in a scrapbook or baby book!
Your kid may not appreciate it between the ages of 11 and 30, but at some point, they will really love having something handcrafted just for them that expresses how much they mean to you.

- DIY your own greeting card!
If your child is old enough to read – or has been reading for a long, long time now – you could use one of these quotes to create your own birthday or “just because” card to give them.
Now that your creative juices are going, look for the quote that sparks joy in your heart!
