This is a detailed, weekly outline of what is happening inside your body and with your baby, and how it translates to pregnancy signs and symptoms on the outside.
It’s broken up into a series of 7 posts for more straightforward navigation. Sources of information included in this series are What to Expect, American Pregnancy Association, several specific sources cited within the text, and my personal experience as a biological mother of two!

Note: If you want some super in-depth reading about your pregnancy, there is no better book than the best-seller, What to Expect When You’re Expecting. I read it front-to-back during my first pregnancy, and re-read it while pregnant with my second! It’s got a ton of great info about both your body and how to prepare for a baby, and I cannot recommend it enough.

I’ve included some unique insights into being obese and pregnant as well, something that seems to be sorely lacking on the internet. Being more than 100 pounds overweight with each of my pregnancies, I had a lot of questions and concerns that not even my doctor could answer very well, so I’m happy to share my experience with you!
But most of the information provided here will apply to ALL moms – thick and thin!
Each week is accompanied by photos of the developing fetus and baby bumps of all shapes and sizes, as well as a video chock full of information and visuals of what your baby bean looks like in each passing week.
If your body isn’t conforming to all of the pregnancy symptoms listed here, don’t worry one bit. EVERY pregnancy is different, just as every woman is different! If you have any concerns, contact your doctor.
