Christmas is the time of year when moms are doing all the things – while also trying to keep their children entertained. Why not print off some DIY Christmas coloring pages for them to have some simple, cheap fun at home?
Now unlike a lot of bloggers, all of my coloring pages are 100% hand-drawn! No AI was involved, no premade pages will be found here. Just me, my iPad, and Procreate brought these coloring sheets to life!
Naturally, for the time spent creating them, I’ve put them in a listing on my shop. However, I’m also giving away five FREE coloring pages! (And they’re the best ones, in my opinion – based on your kids’ favorite holiday movies.)
Scroll to the bottom to request the free pages! But check out all the pages from my bundle below before you do. They’re so cute!
A Winter Scene
This page features a winter wonderland scene and a young girl giving a nose boop to her snowman. It’s got plenty of detail to make it a fun challenge for littles – or at least a less-boring coloring page for older kids.
The Cutest Elf
This girl elf is just the cutest, isn’t she? My favorite detail is the patterned tights on her legs.
Lots of Snowflakes
Every snowflake on this page is unique!
Christmas Tree
This tree has lots of fun decorations, ornaments, and garland to color without being too overwhelming for young artists.
Santa Claus
You can’t have a Christmas coloring book without the big guy himself! This kid-friendly cartoon version features lots of large coloring spaces to make it a little easier on toddlers.
Gingerbread House
This coloring page was by far the hardest for me to draw. At first I wasn’t happy with it because I thought it was too chaotic. But when I looked at our real gingerbread house… Well, they are chaotic, aren’t they?
So in the end, I left it as it was and figured this could be a fun challenge for older kids (and grownups!).
Pile of Ornaments
This is another fun one that leaves a lot to your creativity. A few differently-shaped ornaments hang from the top while a bunch more are in a pile at the bottom.
Christmas Presents
This coloring page was so fun to draw! I wanted each gift to have a unique look, weather it was the pattern of the box itself or the bow wrapped around it. The snowflake bow is my favorite part.
Mistletoe
Embarrassing fact: I spent a significant part of my life thinking that holly was actually mistletoe. I had no idea mistletoe was something else entirely, and that its berries are actually white!
Holly
…So I couldn’t not draw some holly too, since it’s been the most prominent holiday plant in my life since I was a kid. The red berries are iconic.
Reindeer
Which of the Great Eight are these three reindeer? I’ll let you decide (but I’m pretty sure one of them is Comet).
Snowflake
I love a good, blank snowflake template to unleash my inner creativity on. And normally I don’t mind a plain background on a coloring page, but for some reason this one was calling me to add a few diagonal lines behind it.
Giant Ornament
I thought about leaving the body of this ornament blank, but in the end I thought it’d be fun to give a super-detailed design. Coloring in between all the snowflake pieces requires lots of patience and focus (which may or may not be calming to your kids).
Merry Christmas
Hand-drawing letter outlines is SO satisfying to me! It’s even more fun that coloring the words in.
Gingerbread Girl
Print one of these out for each girl in your household to color into a holiday cookie version of themself!
Gingerbread Boy
Of course I didn’t forget the boys in the house! This coloring page is a truly classic blank-slate gingerbread man to make for some fun artistic expression.

Buddy the Elf
Elf didn’t come out until I was 16, and by then I was already set in my ways with Christmas traditions and particular movies I liked to watch each year.
About 10 years after it came out, I finally watched the movie – and like most people, I completely fell in love. This coloring page is from my favorite scene. Buddy’s heart is full of the purest joy and excitement!
Elf on the Shelf
I know these little elves get a lot of hate, but I Santa introduced one to my daughter after she turned one and it’s been part of a fun tradition ever since. Of course, our elf doesn’t get into too much mischief each night.
Santa Jack Skellington
Nightmare Before Christmas has been one of my favorite movies since I was a little kid, and I’m pleased to say my children love it too! ‘Santa’ Jack has always been my favorite version of Jack, because I love Christmas just a little bit more than I love spooky things.
The Grinch
Just like with Elf, I was hesitant to give the 2018 Grinch movie a chance. I don’t even like the live-action one – I’ve always been a purist and stuck to the original animation! But this version came out when my daughter was four years old, so she was the perfect audience for it. We both ended up falling in love with the modern humor.
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
The Rudolph stop-motion animation has always been (and will always be) my absolute favorite kid-friendly holiday show. I had it recorded on a VHS that I played on repeat every Christmas season.
